All sports coaching is designed to improve skills, confidence, personal fitness and performance level.

What To Expect?

15 hours' tuition per week
(including English Skills, English Workshops and end-of-week presentation)
Maximum class size: 12 international students**
** In exceptional circumstances, in order to place students at their correct level, maximum class size may be exceeded. -
English Skills
On arrival, you'll be given a written and oral test and placed into an English Skills class appropriate for your age and level
Improve core skills, technical accuracy and enhance spoken fluency through engaging and collaborative sessions e.g. Life in a British School - research famous British Schools and design your own!

English Workshop
In these fun, task based sessions, you'll explore new topic areas. Learn through researching, discussing, collaborating and creating
Workshop topics vary week to week e.g. Book Design, Drama, Discovering Darwin, Engineering, Journalism, Video Blogs, Visual Poetry!
Each week choose a workshop that interests you.

Trinity Exam
The Trinity Exam in Spoken English is offered on 14 July and 28 July 2026. It is an optional extra, but recommended, £130
Sports Academy
12 hours of intensive sports coaching on four mornings each week. Each week you select one of the choices below. All sports coaching is designed to improve skills, confidence, personal fitness and performance level.
- Mornings: A choice of sports, team challenges, arts and crafts, dance and drama games on 2 mornings per week
- Evenings: Exciting range of evening activities e.g. mystery nights, talent shows, British games, discos and relaxed nights in houses
- Special events: Pool party, Ceilidh (traditional dancing)
- Excursions: 2 per week e.g. Chester, Warwick Castle, Severn Valley Railway, Blists Hill Victorian Town
- Free time: Relax and enjoy time with your new friends
- Shrewsbury has comfortable boarding houses with 1-4 bedded rooms. Shared bathrooms
- Staff/student ratio at least 1:4
- Resident house parents look after you throughout your stay
- 3 meals a day and snacks provided. A healthy range of food to suit international students
- Restricted access to mobile phones. We encourage students to make new friends and try lots of new activities. WiFi available (at specific times).
