Teachers

Activity Leaders

Activity Leaders are responsible for planning and confidently leading an exciting range of fun activities including arts & crafts, sports, dance, drama, cooking and team challenges. Residential staff also host evening entertainments, supervise students on excursions and carry out pastoral duties.

We are looking for people with a passion for working with children and teenagers to create an unforgettable activity programme.

Activity Leader with students

House Parents

In close conjunction with the Course Director, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of international students (aged 8-13, 11-16,  or 15-17) in your house.

 You will help create a happy, and caring environment in the house, maintain good discipline and ensure all course participants feel at ease. 

We are looking for people with strong leadership skills to provide high-quality residential care. You will act as a first aider, look after students who are unwell and administer medications. You will participate in activities as required.

We aim for the highest professional standards in every aspect. This is an excellent opportunity to gain pastoral experience with children and teenagers in a professional environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION - RESIDENTIAL POSITION

House Parent

Director of Studies

You will be responsible for the high-quality and smooth running of a forward-thinking, stimulating and varied academic programme for international students aged 11-16, 13-16 or 15-17. You will be passionate about teaching and learning and committed to ensuring classes are engaging and help students develop accuracy, fluency and most importantly, confidence in spoken English.

It is essential you have a Cambridge DELTA, Trinity LTCL Diploma TESOL, or MA in Linguistics/TESOL (incl. 5 hours’ supervised teaching practice) + a minimum of  3 years' EFL teaching experience with international young learners/teens

You will lead and manage a diverse team of teachers, providing professional development opportunities for them and ensuring all academic administration is effectively completed.

 

You will be a member of the Senior Management Team at the centre - this role requires a high standard of commitment and professionalism.

This is a residential role so you will be living and working with your team and the international students.

JOB DESCRIPTION - RESIDENTIAL POSITION

Director of Studies

Administrators

The Administrator is responsible for managing the course office, welcoming and checking in students, looking after student pocket money and course finances, and providing welfare and first aid support.

As a member of the senior management team, the Administrator works closely with them to ensure the smooth running of the course as a whole.

There is only one Administrator at each summer centre, so you’ll need to be flexible, resourceful and ready to find creative solutions to a wide range of situations in a fast-paced environment.

This is a residential role so you will be living and working with your team and the international students.

Admin

Social Directors

The Social Director at each summer school is responsible for the safety, smooth running and high quality of a fun, balanced and varied social programme.  You will oversee an exciting range of afternoon activities, evening entertainments and excursions.

 You will lead and manage a team of Activity Leaders (ALs) so previous experience of training, managing, and supporting staff is important.  You will be a member of the Senior Management Team at the summer centre.

This is a residential role so you will be living and working with your team and the international students.

Social Directors

Assistants - London

At Collingham - our non-residential Family London centre - we welcome international students aged 5-17 and a small number of adults, who are mainly parents of the juniors. They have all come to learn English, make new friends and have a great summer in London.

You will work with students of all ages, and, together with other Centre Assistants, assist senior and teaching staff with a variety of duties. You will welcome students and their parents, carry out administrative tasks, assist with activities and off-site trips, supervise break-times, and help teachers in the classroom.

We aim for the highest professional standards in every aspect. Successful candidates genuinely enjoy working with children and teenagers to ensure they have an unforgettable learning experience.

These are non-residential vacancies, working part-time 25.5 hours per week. Some overtime may be available.
