How students improve their English

Students are given a written and oral test and placed into an English Skills class appropriate for their age and level. We offer English classes for international juniors of elementary to upper-intermediate level (A2 to B2 on the CEFR scale).

English Skills, English Workshops and presentations

The tuition is divided between English Skills classes, English Workshops and end-of-week presentations. During English Skills lessons students learn how to communicate effectively in spoken and written English. Classes are lively, interactive and fun.

The English Workshop sessions are engaging, task based classes. Students learn by exploring new topics; researching, discussing, collaborating and creating.

Workshop topics vary week to week and are designed to appeal to 8-13 year old international students. E.g.

  • Breakfast TV
  • British Musicals
  • Incredible Inventors
  • Online Game Design
  • Nature Explorers.

On Friday afternoons, parents are invited to attend the end-of-week presentation. This is a great way for the students to not only show off their improved English skills but also gain confidence in public speaking.

What parents say about Marymount

Parents trust us to look after their children and ensure they have a fun and memorable summer course, here’s what one parent said on TrustPilot:

“Marymount is probably the best place to send your child for a language course.

It truly is multinational and their level of taking care of the children is unique.

Many companies promise the world in their marketing but if you read the British Council reports things are not quite what they tell you. This is not the case with DS Marymount.

They really deliver what they promise in their marketing and so are very trustworthy which is very important especially as it is to do with your young child.”
