What To Expect?

20 hours' tuition per week
20 hours' including English Skills, English Workshops and end-of-week presentation
Maximum class size: 12 international students**
** In exceptional circumstances, in order to place students at their correct level, maximum class size may be exceeded. -
English Skills
On arrival, you'll be given a written and oral test and placed into an English Skills class appropriate for your age and level
Develop core skills as you communicate effectively in spoken and written English. Classes are lively, interactive and fun e.g. British Folklore - explore the line between fact and fiction, research famous legends like Robin Hood and create your own.

English Workshops
In these fun, task-based sessions, you'll explore new topic areas. Learn through researching, discussing, collaborating and creating
Workshop topics vary week to week e.g Business Innovators, Leadership in Action, Filmmakers, Marketing Techniques, Psychology Challenge, Comedy Performance & Drama, British Wildlife Quest.
At the end of each week students present their workshop achievements in front of the whole school.

Trinity Exam
Graded Exam in Spoken English
The Trinity Exam is offered on 22 July and 5 August 2025. It is an optional extra and recommended: £130
- Wide choice of afternoon activities including sports, arts & crafts, drama, nature walks
- Evening activities include team challenges, quiz nights, mystery shows, talent shows, traditional British games, discos and relaxed nights in houses
- Special events: Pool parties
- 2 excursions each week e.g. London, Thorpe Park / Zoo, Leeds Castle, Margate (seaside)
- Benenden Young Learners and Teens have some joint social activities where brothers/sisters/friends can meet
- PLUS: Lots of opportunities to practise English with our English Student Hosts.
